About ME
Built by a network engineer, not a support desk.
I created Lay Of The WAN to help growing businesses avoid expensive networking mistakes and get clear answers from someone who has done the work.
My career started in network support and operations before progressing into enterprise, ISP and cloud networking environments.
Over the last 9+ years I've worked on routing, firewalls, VPNs, internet connectivity and critical network infrastructure, helping organisations keep their users, sites and services connected.
As the environments became larger and more complex, one thing stayed the same: businesses often struggled with networking problems that nobody had properly explained or taken ownership of.
That's why I created Lay Of The WAN.
The goal is simple: identify the issue, explain the options clearly, implement the right solution and leave behind documentation that people can actually use.
Find the problem. Explain it clearly. Fix it properly.
